MY PREGNANCY JOURNEY - CHAPTER 4

My Pregnancy Update... Hello Guys! So, today is my due date as given by my hospital. 17:01:2018. But guess what? I am at work and still have no signs of labour at all! I’m pretty much just going about my business as usual. By calculation, I am 40 weeks and 3 days. Months into my pregnancy, I registered on an app (recommended by my boss at work) that helps me track my pregnancy journey and what to expect each day of my nine months’ journey. It’s BabyCentre.com and I strongly recommend for ALL women. Funny fact is that as at yesterday, the app shows my nine month journey was complete and I got a welcome note when I logged in … ‘’Congratulations, you are now a parent’’ and in my head, I am like, Duuuuuuhhhhh, not yet! Baby is still lounging in here oh. Please don’t leave me now my fave app friend. Lol. So what has changed since the last time I wrote… Well, I use the restroom more frequently now. I’ve lost count of how many times I pay a visit there in a day but who’s count

MY PREGNANCY JOURNEY - CHAPTER 3

WHAT’S IN MY HOSPITAL BAG? This pregnancy has made me consider many times, the need to have a vlog. I feel like I should be talking to you guys more, especially about this journey, more than I need to write to you about it. There’s a lot to discuss, and if I were to write about EVERYTHING, I’ll possibly still be writing about this journey when I get pregnant a second time (just kidding!). Ok, so today, let’s talk about what should be in a hospital bag. It’s a pregnancy series, so you know I am talking about a maternity bag basically. First things first, please TAKE NOTE (I just had to have that in caps) that you should start packing your maternity bag from the day you find out you are pregnant. I am not exaggerating. Stay woke! There are so many advantages to this; aside from the fact that it keeps you prepared at all times because you do not know when baby will pop out, it also gives you a long time to buy your needs little by little without breaking the bank. Don’t be lik

MY PREGNANCY JOURNEY - CHAPTER 2

I feel the urge to write today, and I want to share with you the weirdest things I experienced during my pregnancy. Please don’t judge me… 1.        Leg Cramps – Nobody prepares you for this one. I doubt I had heard about it before my pregnancy, we only hear of stomach cramps which interestingly, I didn’t quite experience. Well, since we are now very cool friends, let me be the one to tell you about the ALMIGHTY leg cramps…During my pregnancy, I began to love stretching out whilst sleeping, it was one of the sweetest thing ever! But the moment you stretch a little too much, you immediately have this contraction in your calf. Something like a frozen bone in there. It’s so painful, there is no cure to it. You just have to endure till it wears out by itself. The first time I experienced it, I screamed so badly from my sleep and MJ was lost on how to be of help. Even I too didn’t know whether I should jump up from the bed or lie still or rub my calf. On impulse, I will try to move out

MY PREGNANCY JOURNEY - CHAPTER 1

Dear Diary, I wrote this article on the 14th of November, 2017. By this time, I was already seven months gone and expecting my cutie. Now, I'm posting this article, my cutie has arrived and is almost three months old. How time flies. I promise you that this series is an interesting one. But this article is looooooooong, so grab a pack of popcorn and a drink. Let me be the first person to tell you that PREGNANCY is beautiful! I have never doubted this, I only came to a full knowledge with this journey. Do not believe the naysayers who say otherwise. I’m not talking about the ones who TRULY go through hell to bring forth a child…I’m talking about those ones that derives joy by making you feel they are doing the most! Interestingly, I always thought I’ll have a hectic preggo journey. I thought I’ll drag my legs, have a swollen nose, face and legs, spit into cups and be an all-round mess. ‘’We’’ got pregnant earlier than we planned to, and I was still trying to adjust to b
