ABOUT THIS WEEK...

Dearies... How have y'all been? How did your week go? To our Nigerian readers, I know we have a lot to say about this week...so much has happened. Especially the fuel scarcity and shortage in power supply, although this has been on for a while now, it entered another level this week. Prices of everything went up, even the price of ice block! (I heard a soft drink hawker complain about that) Yes oh, it was that bad, thank God we are gradually returning to normalcy again, the hardship was beyond me. Meanwhile, it was children's day on May 27th. Happy Children's Day to all children and all of us who were once children, infact, we are still children in the eyes of our parents and elders (they say this to us every time). We agree sha, but children get ''grade''. There are children that are children and there are children that have become adults. You understand the difference right?

RANDOM THOUGHTS.

My darlings, good day oh. I greet y'all wholeheartedly. I had to rush down here before grass starts growing on the blog. Been a long time yeah? Feels like it's been ages! But I come here every now and then, to read the articles over and over again and have a long laugh. I can't believe I wrote some of these articles. LOL. Madam Talk Talk. I am not a talkative though, I am only talk-active. I hope you know the difference. Me that use to wonder how people write good, nice, interesting and intelligent pieces, now I see myself writing and people commending me, it can only be God my people. Oghene Doh (Thank you Jesus). Sincerely, I'm getting tired of apologizing for not posting articles as frequent as it used to be. I told you guys that there has to be an inspiration for every article and I mean it. It's not like ideas haven't been flooding my mind since oh, but sometimes, the ideas come like a flash and vanishes almost immediately, other times, it comes and beca

BIRTHDAY WISHES...

To my Darling Mother, You are a good wife, darling mother and a sweet grandmother. The world's best! The biological mother of five of us and mother to others. God loves us so much to have put us under your care. A mother to many, a teacher, a counselor, a prayer warrior, an adviser, a confidante, our best friend and everything. Your virtues are numerous and unprecedented; you are humble, patient, kind, gentle spirited, soft spoken, easygoing, prayerful and generous, a woman leader and mentor to many. You never fail to be of help when the need arises, you also reprimand where necessary, you are never economical with the truth. You were conferred with the title

Hi Sugars, the week has been so good, I almost forgot to check on you guys. Not like I didn't have y'all in my thoughts, it's just that the days are either too busy in an interesting way, or I am too lazy to write in the diary. My bad, and I apologize. Please find it in your hearts to forgive me (even though I cannot promise not to be lazy tomorrow or the day after). So, how have you been? What have you been up to? What is the latest? Fill me in dearies! Over the weekend, I went to my boss' new apartment, she had a combined housewarming and birthday celebration. Suffice it to say that I had much fun, she also prepared one vegetable sauce which I enjoyed very much. If you know me, you'll know that trying out new things (especially with food), gives me one kinda joy. Yeah, I am a foodie like that! So, I experimented with the sauce on my own at home, everyone that ate it, loved it and sang my praises. I didn't like it as much as I wanted to, but, peeps that ate

LEGEND OF THE TREKKERS...

Dear Trekkers, how market oh? *gives them the side eye* Mtchewwww. My Darlings, before I lose my manners because of some lot, how have you guys been? How did your week go? Who missed me? It's the weekend already! What plans do you have? My week was amazeballs! My elder sister came around and it was a full house for us, we didn't want her to leave when the time came. Her birthday was some days back, so it was only fair that we went ice cream and cake tasting at some place. Those who follow me on BBM saw the pictures. (I'm still considering whether I should do such reviews here, I would not want to bore you guys with my ''interesting'' life). LOL. I sincerely didn't know how we are already in Friday oh. It was just Monday some days ago but lets just say it happened and we thank God. We are alive, we are healthy, we are happy. We have hope for a better tomorrow and that's enough consolation to face today headstrong. About today's topic,

MY NYSC CAMP EXPERIENCE (2)

Continued from the last post. Please check. We had to wake up at 3:30am the next day to have our baths and prepare for the morning prayer and parade. There were bathrooms in the hostels, but for some reasons, they were always flooded and overflowing to the corridors. The toilets were messed up too. Anyway, by 4:30am, we had female soldiers enter into the rooms and chase us out to the parade ground (if you attended a boarding school like myself, this routine shouldn't be new, but it was for me, because boarding school was a long time ago and I was so done with that kind of life in 201*). With sleep still in our eyes, we walked down until we heard some more soldiers (how many do they deploy to camps again? They were so many!) scream at the top of their voices for us to jog down to the parade ground. By 4:30am oh. Where are we rushing to for heaven's sake? Is this life not slow and steady again? Shouldn't we be in the comfort of our beds at the time? Can't we sleep anymo

MY NYSC CAMP EXPERIENCE (1)

Hey Guys...how do you do? Long time no talk. Wataguan? Interestingly, today marks the beginning of a three week camp for some new ''otondos'' (allow me please, me too, I hate the name also). I can't help but pity them. Lol. I hated camp. There's no way to put it nicely. Lemme just be blunt like that. Before we begin, please afford me the opportunity to lash out hundred strokes of the cane to EVERYONE (my two elder sisters included. Yes, I have to call them out on this one) that told me camp would be fun. It wasn't. I didn't enjoy it one tiny bit. And, you guys are my treasured friends, I would not dare lie to you. Fortunately for me, my elder sister lives very close to the camp, so I was glad to leave her house in the afternoon and by my calculation, I'll get to the camp fifteen minutes later. Quick right? The stress of carrying so much luggage and travelling a distance was not part of my worry, so I was happy and I pitied others coming from fa
