LEAVE IT IN 2015 PLEASE!!!

Image
Compliments of the season my lovelies!!! Drum roll for all of you! How was the Eid el Maloud and Christmas celebration at your end? Believe me, mine was "ama-ma-mazing". I can relive the experience over and over again. Family just has to be the best gift ever! You wouldn't believe that I didn't go anywhere else but be with my family. Someone was asking me if that was fun, and I replied; "you have no idea". He really doesn't oh. My family is a full community on its own. Not in numbers though, (plus our parents, there are seven of us. Oh well, and there's my niece now too, so eight), but we are our own company. Going out is pretty difficult when everyone is around. Maybe that's because we barely have a full house any other time of the year except at Christmas. So you can imagine the gist, gossips, play, food et al that goes with everyone being around! I love family...dazall! And I love family reunion even better. Before I get carried away (m

AS THE YEAR ENDS...

You'll think I forgot I had a blog right??? Well, far from it! I didn't. Let's just say...no excuse really. No need to come and na be lying small small lies. So it is just a few more days before 2015 gives way to a new beginning; 2016. Woooooow! Time runs so fast you know? I remember entering this year with all the strength I could muster. 2015 was game time for me! And as much as I had no compass on how it would go, I just knew there had to be a way. Looking back now, I can say that I didn't do so poorly really...I count my blessings!

#THINGSILONGTHROATFOR

Image
Hi Hunnayzzzz! How is your week coming? Today is an emotional day for me, but I will try not to cry…lol. I’m happy though, and I thank God all the same. Note to myself (and to you guys of course): Be Positive always. If you’re in my part of the world, you must have heard last week, one of the trending topics on social media: #ThingsILongThroatFor…it is just ''Things I Long Throat For'' merged together. It started as a tweet by a famous artiste in Nigeria. Apparently, it was a promotion for a brand’s new product. Trust social media to make it trend and yes, we were able to know some of the things people crave for. Funny, funny things oh! Well, I have decided to bring it to you guys, so we wouldn’t be left out of the fun. I expect that you also participate and state things you crave for! You never might know, there may be a genie somewhere waiting to grant your wishes! So here’s my own list of #ThingsILongThroatFor, and it is in no particular order…

ANGER MANAGEMENT

Hi Darlings…let me report myself by myself. This is simply a case of indiscipline, wilful negligence and procrastination on my part. I seriously don’t have any VALID excuse for abandoning you my Beloved all this while. Though I am trying to work on the blog and make it user friendly for all our visitors, I don't see that as enough excuse. It’s been over a week, and I missed you all greatly. How have you been? What have you been up to? Over the past days, I have gotten inspiration to talk about Anger Management...Experience is the best teacher, so I have decided to use myself as an example. With this blog, my life is no longer a secret oh! I’m very sure that in a little time from now, you’ll be able to fill up all the tiny bits and pieces of my life. What haven’t I told you guys already??? My life is one open secret! Ok, back to the story of my life…

FEMINISM: EQUALITY WITH MEN

In this era of social media and all its accomplices, I have heard the word ‘’feminism’’ no fewer than a million and one times, and I was almost confused with the way the term is being used, so I had to look up the meaning of the word, read and also learn what the fuss is all about, and why now. One of the definition is that; Feminism is a belief that MEN and WOMEN should have equal rights and opportunities. Another definition says ‘’it is an organized activity in support of women’s rights and interests’’. Well, if you align yourself with the latter definition, I support you. I’m all for women rights and interest 100%. But I think the former definition should be classified…’’equal rights and opportunities’’? Where? This should be limited to workplaces; level playing ground for both sexes, ability to hold public office as the men, fair pay, maternity leave when due etc. Also; right to education, right to own property, right to vote etc. Feminist movement which also seek to prote

SEXUAL HARASSMENT

Hi Guys! "Happy" is the least way to describe how I feel. We've hit 10 million page views (I meant 10 thousand actually…lolzzz) in less than six months. The excitement is surreal. God bless you guys. And yes, my last article is the blog’s most popular article. We had almost 1000 page views on that topic in less than 24 hours which is happening for the first time actually. I appreciate every one of you. You’re my motivation to keep writing. I wouldn’t be writing if there’s no one to read and also share their thoughts with the rest of us. You don’t know how much all these mean to me. Thanks again!!! You know how most of the articles I write about is usually about something that happened to me, or someone close, or one of those things I read or hear about right?…yeah, my life has become one storybook. Someone yesterday jokingly told another person to be careful around me before I use them as a topic on the blog. LOL. Is it that bad? Le Boo may start thinking same very so

PRIORITIES DIFFER

This life ehn, this life…you’ll think you’ve ‘’jumped and pass’’ until someone throws you another one. So, some days ago, I was on my own ‘’jejely’’ and someone asked me a question… ‘’Madam, what are your plans now that the service year is over?’’ See me running my mouth and downloading her with my plans. You know, as a lawyer, working under supervision is very crucial at this stage, so as to build your craft and establish a solid clientele base. So I told her how before the service year ran out I had sent out applications and CVs to reputable law firms and how I intend to also go back to school in between and run some professional courses to broaden my knowledge and enhance my chances in the society, I also told her that I intend to take more intense classes on bead making and grow my hair business which I have already started on a small scale. I told her in the next five years, I see myself achieving all of these and many more. I was innocently telling her all of these with

MY TWO WEEKS STORY...

For those of you who may think I have abandoned my blog…’’ laye e, laye e, baby ko jo’’ (meaning: It’s not happening). Yeah! I rebuke you people in Jesus’ name. I can’t abandon the blog oh! How can I? Not now when full time bloggers can afford to buy a 600 million mansion without blinking an eye! There is God oh! I just said I should take some time out ‘’kpere’’ to do some personal things, and this 600 million something happened. Maybe if I was here then, I’ll have made some 100 million too. Na wa. I’m convinced God hasn’t forgotten us sha. LOL. How have y’all been jare? Who missed me? Who missed all the juicy articles on Barby’s Diary? I bet you did! I did too. Very much. Can’t believe it’s been two weeks since we last communicated. Time runs so fast oh… Just as I promised, I’ll use this article to fill you up on what has kept me away for two weeks. But before we get carried away in the gist, please take out time to tell me ‘’CONGRATULATIONS’’. Yes oh, my levels has changed!

FOR YOUR INFORMATION, MY DARLINGS...

Image
Shalla (local way of saying ‘shout out’) to the most important people in my life!!! Errrmm…that’ll be after God, MYSELF, my parents, my wonderful siblings, Le Boo…then you of course! I’ve missed you all. How have you been dearies? What’s the latest news at your end? I’ve been doing great. So many things to be done within a short time, but I am enthusiastic about them all. We’re fighters. We take charge. We don’t give up!  However, there’s a not so good news I am about to pass…relax, nobody died oh! Just as I promised some time ago, I said I wouldn’t leave the blog unattended to without prior notice to our readers. Well, here I am... I’m taking time off to sort out some very important issues in my life (I’m not getting married, thanks for asking. LoL). I sincerely don’t know how long I’ll be away, maybe a week or two weeks, tops, but I’ll try to come back (here) as soon as possible. I encourage that you still visit and catch up on previous articles which you missed or article

HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY NIGERIA

Image
I pledge to NIGERIA my country, To be faithful, loyal and honest, To serve NIGERIA with all my strength, To defend her unity, And uphold her honour and glory, So help me God, Amen.

QUESTION OF THE DAY: WHAT WILL YOU DO???

Ok Guys! It only gets better on Barby’s Diary. This is a new segment we are introducing and I anticipate that there’ll be full participation, since most of the questions that would be put up for us to discuss are real life issues and maybe, just maybe, one of us are going through or have passed through similar situations. But before we dive into that, let me quickly ask how the long Sallah break went for you. I had so much plans for it, but unfortunately, I didn’t seem to leave my room, as I was down with malaria and typhoid. For the love of God, some tablets just need to leave the shelves! I took some pills and it knocked me off worse than I was before I took them. It felt like I took expired drugs. In the last few days, I’ve been through all the phases; headaches, tummy aches, waist pain, loss of appetite etc. I’m still recuperating. It was one long short holiday for me. How was yours though? Back to today’s question. I kinda stumbled on it on Instagram, and I thought we shou

''OBODOYIBO'' DRAMA

My Sweethearts! How are you? How’s the week going? It seems like a long time I’ve spoken to you all, but I had to remind myself that I wrote an article last week and there was no feedback from you guys (when you people will not comment nko ? Why wouldn’t it look like I’m here alone). It’s been a roller coaster week for me and I’m enjoying it! I hope you all have reasons to smile this week and always. For the benefit of those that don’t understand the meaning of ‘’OBODOYIBO’’; It means ‘’overseas, or a foreign country’’. Our dear brothers and sisters from this part of the world are often in the habit of travelling (through legal and illegal means) overseas in search of greener pastures. Sincerely, I have no problem with you taking a leap of faith or challenging yourself to a better life, but I have every problem with you not having a plan and just leaving your fate (and that of your dependents) in the hands of unknown persons or circumstances. A story was told of a particular fa

16-09-2015

For lack of a better title, let me just stick to today's date. Lazy blogger. Yeah, I know. *tongue out* Hey Guys! ‘’Like play like play, it’s the sixteenth day of the ninth month in the year two thousand and fifteen. Holup, holup mehn!’’ The year is hurriedly coming to an end. I see Christmas already…do you? Yesterday, on my way to the office, I was going down memory lane on how far I have come this year... Things I set out to achieve and if I had achieved them. The ones I haven’t, if there is any possibility of achieving them before the New Year. Any setbacks? How well was I able to recover from them and move forward? Any lesson learnt? How has it helped me to be a better person? Any failure? What strategies are in place so they don’t happen a second time, etc. In a nutshell and without blowing my own trumpet or beating myself so hard, I must say that it has been a fulfilling year for me. God has been good to me! Most of the projects I planned on embarking, I actually di

THE WEDDING

Image
That didn’t sound like it was my wedding right??? Relax…I was just introducing today’s topic. I’ve played you once with the ring thing here , don’t get played a second time! Maybe it’s just me and my good news season (I prayed for it), but, I figured that a lot of my friends have been getting married. I wake up everyday to new wedding invitations, BBM or whatsapp messages from these friends, and I cannot contain my excitement. Although, not to sound hateful, some of these IVs have come as a surprise to me, but hey! It's all good! I share in their joy and I celebrate them. Marriage is such a beautiful thing and I look forward to it someday by God’s grace. But before the marriage itself, there is the wedding… To start with, relationships are expensive; no matter how economical you try to be, they are expensive. For it to work, there must be exchange of phone calls, messages, gifts (monetary and material) etc. All these things don’t come cheap. It’s even more expensive if y

VALUE YOU.

Good day my people!!! Long time no talk, how are you, and how did your weekend go? Anyone missed me? I guessed as much! The feeling is mutual. The previous article on Sex generated so much reactions. Like, I keep laughing anytime I read the comments. Especially that of Austin Ogbolu (yeah, I had to call him out oh! I kept on laughing in the office, and my colleagues were wondering if I was okay. Of course I am!) Austin took the matter very personal and his comments were hilarious. Anyway, I get the gist. I enjoyed reading too, thanks for taking out time to read and send in your comments. My blogging keeps getting more fun and exciting. E-hugs to y’all… So away from all the sexual talks, ‘’VALUE YOU’’ is today’s motivational topic. Everyone has a price tag (whatever that means). All I know is, you shouldn’t be cheap! In your own eyes, you should worth something before anyone can value you. If you sell yourself cheap, you’ll be bought cheap. Learn to create high standards for

WHILE I WAS AWAY...

Image
This happened... Aiit guys, I have to give my sincere apology for being A.W.O.L for so long. I admit, it was very rude and unfair, especially considering that I didn't even drop a hint. I feel so bad already, and I promise to make it up to y'all by filling you in on everything, and I mean everything! No detail would be left untouched. So, I hope I'm forgiven and we're back to being good buddies right? Yeah, yeah. Thanks. I attended my first Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Conference and it was splendid! I must say that I enjoyed every bit of it, I wish I can go back and start all over again. It was really nice meeting old friends and acquaintances and making new ones too. God bless the organisers for putting up such an amazing one week! I stole the opportunity of attending the Conference because it was happening where I presently reside, and it was my first Conference as a lawyer. Typical human being, I left registration for the last minute, and I almost suffered a

LET'S TALK ABOUT SEX...

Image
Hello Cupcakes? Been a while yeah? I think so too! Last week, I left you all in the hands of a very good writer and ardent reader of the blog; Arnold. I hope y’all enjoyed reading his piece and learnt a thing or two from it, ‘cos I did. Preach it till it gets to the end of the world! STOP DOMESTIC VIOLENCE!!! Today’s topic is a very sensitive and highly implicative one for me. I can literally say that it took me nine lives to write this article. I’ll tell you why; my family (including my extended family, maybe my grandma in the village also) reads my blog. I can imagine the look on my Dad or Mum’s face when she opens the blog today and see the topic. They’ll be like; ‘’warrisdis kwa?’’. Now I have to face them alone whenever I go home on holidays. No thanks to you guys…Another reason I dread this article is the majority African cultural belief. Where we come from, it is almost weird to talk about issues like this in the public. It is either people feel you’re too young to talk

ARNOLD AYCEE: REAL MEN DON'T HIT WOMEN

Image
Hi people, my name is Arnold .   Whatever you read from this article is all true. I at most modified the scenarios to the stories but the events were real and exact. The opinions I air are mine and you mustn’t agree with it so please do not see it as a cause to throw insults at me. Not that it will matter but I thought I put it out there, and if you have a contrary view to mine, please share and let’s logically reason it out.

FULL DISCLOSURE IN RELATIONSHIPS (FINANCIAL)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO EFOMA EBONKA, an ardent reader of Barby's Diary. God bless your new age and your latter years! She's very intelligent, humble, soft-spoken and yes, she graduated tops in our class at the University. I'm very grateful for your support and encouragement as regards my blogging. You never cease to write your opinion about our articles and you are non-apologetic about your stance, I always look forward to reading your comments and learning from you and our other readers. God bless your kind heart darling. Happy earth strong! Back to the topic...FULL DISCLOSURE IN RELATIONSHIP (FINANCIAL) I have heard couples say that it is ''risky'' to disclose your financial status to your partner, I'm surprised and I wonder why. My curiosity led me to ask certain married friends their opinion. One of them said she always tell her husband only half the amount she has and earns. For instance, if she earns N500,000 a month, she'll tell her husband s

FULL DISCLOSURE IN RELATIONSHIPS (SEXUAL)

Hi Guys! I promised to write this article before the week runs outs, so here it is! There are a lot of things and a lot of dimensions to this topic. I'm tempted to just write as they come to my mind but I don't want the article to be too scattered and lose its value and I'm also trying not to make a too long article. I'll try to pass my message across without losing the essence of the post in its generality...so help me God. In  discussing this topic, we will break disclosures into two; sexual disclosures AND financial disclosure and others. Today's post will be based on the former. ''Honesty refers to a facet of moral character and it connotes positive and virtuous attributes such as integrity, TRUTHFULNESS and straightforwardness...'' They say that ''honesty is the best policy''; meaning that you should always tell the truth even when it seems as if it would be easier to tell a lie. I have discovered that it is easier to tell a

APPRECIATION DAY

Ladies and Gentlemen! Or should I say Boos and Baes'? How have you all been? I have to confess to you guys so you don't start feeling like I'm losing interest in the blog (I can't, I'm already addicted!). My absence sometimes can be traced to the fact that my week starts on Tuesday. So you can safely say that Tuesday is my Monday. I know a lot of readers expect to see new posts on Mondays (to start a new week), but my Mondays are usually very busy (or not), so please spare me if you come on here and don't see a post to start off the new week. Any post you read here on a Monday has got to be a miracle of some sort or my lazy  not so busy Monday. Away from my confession, I don't get tired of appreciating my readers especially those who take the extra effort of dropping a comment and making my blogging interesting and interactive. To these ones, I say thank you. It takes a lot of energy, time and patience to read my long and sometimes boring  (I'm trying

BIRTHDAY WEEKEND/PICTURE STORY

Image
Hi Dearies! Who missed me? How was the weekend? My weekend was super nice, turn up was craaaay! And from my writing, you should know I'm elated. I'm very happy even though I didn't rest at all, but it was a pleasant stress and I am very grateful to God for life and for health and of course, for making the birthday(s) beautiful. I wish them many happy years ahead. Before I forget, I want to sincerely thank everyone who wished my sister and my little niece a happy birthday. I was indeed humbled by the number of calls, messages, dps, pms et al I got over the weekend. I would have mentioned names, but I don't want to offend anybody by omitting their names. God bless you all! I'm rich because I have you. Gracias. My sister's family are July babies; Dad, Mum and my little niece. So they had a kind of combined birthday over the weekend. I thought it was worth celebrating and I asked my sister (sorry Big Sis, I have to call you out on this one. I love you too, mwah)

FORGIVING CHEATING

Hi Guys, top of the day to you! How was the loooooonnnng break? Trust me, I enjoyed mine and I didn't want it to end. I wish everyday can be a holiday. (Un)fortunately, we have to work; for the money and the satisfaction it brings. Interestingly, money looks good on everyone, and I have never met one person who money doesn't sit pretty on (please show me if you know one.) You remember that article I wrote about cheating? Where I gave a story of a married man who impregnated a side chick? Well, Mr. Married man took to social media yesterday to publicly apologize to his wife and seek her forgiveness. Sounds good right? Social media was turn between if the lady should forgive him or if she shouldn't. Well, as its our usual fashion, I'm not going to make this article about them (the story is so stale and has become over-flogged) but let's talk about ''FORGIVING CHEATING''.

EID MUBARAK!

Image
EID MUBARAK to all our Muslim brothers and sisters, friends, and of course, to our esteemed Muslim readers. May our days be blessed with happiness, prosperity, contentment and peace. Happy celebration to you all. And happy holidays also. (It's a long one!) We pray that this season ushers in and promotes love, unity and peace across all nations, tribe, color, and religions. In the spirit of celebration, friendship and oneness, let us pray for peace all over the world. We are one! Enjoy the holiday, Barby.

OMG! HE PROPOSED AND I SAID YES!!!

Image
Ok, not really...joke is on you, sweetheart. That's why I'm a writer na , I have ''poetic license'' to misbehave sometimes. LOL! I enjoyed my one minute of deceiving you guys! I'm sure Le Boo's heart would have missed a beat *tongue out*. Don't worry Sweets, I got you. So back to the topic...He Proposed.

WHEN IS TOO MUCH REALLY TOO MUCH?

My darlings, how have y'all been? I have to confess to you, I am among those people that come to the blog and say; ''so Barby hasn't written any new article since the last one abi?'', and then I remember I'm the ''Barby'' who is supposed to be writing the articles. *Sighs*! Please allow me to be lazy sometimes jare ...body no be firewood. This week has been annoyingly busy for me, so much thinking and spending money to do, I feel like I should pick a million dollars on the floor somewhere, but, who go loss am??? LOL. Recently, I have been spending so much on some kinda things, I don't want to call them ''unnecessaries'' and I'll also not call them ''necessaries''. You know that difference between what you need and what you want ??? Yeah! You know, what you need should be topmost priority over what you want, and what you want most times are things you can do without but don't want to do withou

BE COURTEOUS

Hi Darlings! Wataguan??? It's Friday already and the weekend is here again ''as usual''. I'm getting used to waking up on Monday and feeling like the days should just rewind to Friday and before long again, it's the weekend and then it's Monday again. I'm hopeful this weekend stays longer. I can remember when I was in school (especially Law School), I use to pray that school ends quickly so I can work and begin to earn my own money. I thought reading books, writing assignments, projects and preparing for exams were very stressful. Now I am working and I'm beginning to wish again. LOL . You know when you're in school, there's no coercion to go for your lectures and co, you don't even have to be sick to miss a class, you just wake up on the wrong side of bed and say ''abeg I no dey go today jare'' (Please I'm not going for lectures today) and nobody issues you query for that. This is what I call freedom, welcome

HAPPY NEW MONTH LOVES!

Happy New Month my people! God bless all of you! May this month herald new blessings, favors, miracles and breakthroughs. I wish everyone a better and longer life, good health, blessings unlimited, favors unmerited and joy in abundance. It's the second half of the year already!!! I know that at the beginning of the year, a lot of people had both long and short term goals (or resolutions) which they hoped to achieve...some persons have achieved all of it (congratulations!), others are still on it, while some others may not have and may want to lose hope now. PLEASE DON'T LOSE HOPE! Keep trying, keep pushing, keep praying, put in your best, and you never can tell, you may just be closer to your miracle than you think. GIVING UP SHOULD NEVER BE AN OPTION. GOD'S GOT YOU! How have y'all been doing? I bet great right? I'm elated and ''over the moon'' here. Earlier this week, I decided to advertise my blog on ''Whatsapp'' and I sent a l

DRESS TO BE ADDRESSED.

Hi Loves, how do you do? Been a while yeah? I think so too. I actually wanted all the previous articles to digest before we start off on another topic again, perfect excuse right? I missed y'all muchos. It's midweek already, would it be late to ask how your weekend went? I doubt. So how did it go? I didn't attend the road walk I told y'all about. Sorry jare, my laziness got the best of me and it rained that morning too. Today's topic is very sensitive and I fear to be quoted out of context. But then again, these are the risks writers have to take right? The saying that ''dress the way you want to be addressed'' can never go out of style. Always remember that first impression matters a lot and there is never a second time to make a first impression. Dressing well has no age barrier, you mustn't be 50 years before you start wearing nice clothes. In fact, parents should dress their children well too, it tells a lot about the parents. This

MAIN CHICK vs SIDE CHICK

In a game between these two, who do you think will win??? Hi Guys! How is your week going? It's mid week already. Gradually, the weekend is approaching, yippee! What were your plans for the week?  Where you able to achieve all of them? What are your plans for the weekend? For me, I have a 10km road race to attend on Saturday, I am not as enthusiastic as I was when I was copied on Instagram concerning the race. I guess it's the lazy bones in me trying to weigh me down, I'll try to participate and bring you gist on how it went. This week has been an interesting one in many ways especially on social media. Just yesterday, we heard of the proposed 8.64 billion National Assembly wardrobe allowance for the 469 members of both houses (Senate and House of Representatives) which will translate to a whooping 19/17 million per person, yearly. This is ridiculous. The cost of governance in this country is too high and it's in serious need of downsizing, so much money is spent t

FOR THE LOVE OF CHEATING...

Image
Hi Fam!  Thanks for always being that family I can run to and we can talk about everything and anything. I appreciate you all. How was the weekend for you? It's funny right, one minute, it's Friday and you feel Monday is so far away only for it to just show up in your face like that. Sorry to break the not so good news to you, the weekend is over, Monday is here and the grind continues...the hustle is real. If you're in Nigeria and conversant with happenings around you especially via social media, you may have heard many stories this weekend. All these have inspired so many interesting articles which in the course of the week, I'll try to write on. However, there was a story making rounds about a cheating husband who got his ex girlfriend pregnant. The celebrity wife is the victim in this case. The couple have been together for over a decade before they eventually got married, and from what we hear too, the cheating husband may have been with this ex for well over

PICTURE STORY FROM MY BIRTHDAY AND MINI VACAY...

Image
Dear friends, it is for the love of God I do this. I'm so not happy with all of you cos nobody wished me a happy birthday except Frances...I see y'all oh and God is watching you too. I had a swell time though, thanks for not asking. How una dey sha ? You know you can hardly get angry with family for a long time? Well, I have forgiven everyone and that's why I'm still typing, if not, I'll have stopped typing long time ago, (like you care right?) LOL!  However, I'm still accepting gifts till June 3rd next year, then we'll start all over again. I took a mini vacation from work for a week! I strategized so well that, with the public holiday and the weekends, I think I had about ten to eleven days to rest and chill and rest again. I so didn't want the vacay to end...talk about ''Oliver Twist asking for more''. I've been finding it difficult to upload the pictures, for some weird reasons, something that shouldn't take me a minute

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE

Just recently, I was gisting with Le Boo and I told him a story of a particular neighbor my family once had. You see, this man (Mr All Weather) was a chronic womanizer, he loved all types; dark, fair, chocolate, tall, short, fat, slim, long hair, short hair, bald, figure 8, ''tirin gbeku''...you name it! We saw them come in and go out everyday. To be fair to him, he was never married, but he had a ''stable'' relationship with a beautiful woman for say; five years and it produced two cute lil girls. He always beat the woman at every given chance (maybe even for breathing sef) and the relationship didn't last. The woman went away with her two girls. Mr All Weather didn't care, he didn't change either, he moved unto the next. Another fine woman who was a second neighbour's friend soon caught his attention, second neighbor warned fine woman of the dangers in plying that '''road'', fine woman didn't listen, I think she

WITH LOVE FROM ME...

Hi ''Boos''...how the go dey go? What's been happening at your end? My mini vacation has been going on well, I can't believe it's a week already and almost over! But it's been worth every minute. I really needed the break and the space and I had to take meds for malaria too. I don't want to resume work feeling sickly and tired after a whole week break, that wouldn't be nice at all. In other news, it was my birthday on the 3rd June and nobody wished me a happy birthday on the blog *cries profusely*, God is watching all of you oh. On a brighter note, I had a blast! Thanks for asking *side eye*. I'll write a post and share pictures of that day and my vacation in one of my subsequent post. I'll have done that now, but I'm experiencing some challenges with uploads and I'm on some self-imposed laziness too... Meanwhile, how was the guest post by Frances Okoro? Did you learn a thing or two? Do you think saving is ''doable

I was born around 11pm on the 2nd of June but the nurse wrote 3rd of June in error on my birth card, and my parents decided not to change it. So, I have two birth dates! My family usually calls me today and tomorrow to wish me a happy birthday. Yeah, I'm special like that!  I told ya something big was coming on the blog right? Well here it is! The wait is over and I know you’ll thank me later, so I’m saying ‘’you’re welcome’’ in advance.
